Local Law 97 Compliance
Effective January 1, 2024, Local Law 97 of 2019, under Title 28, Chapter 3 of the NYC Administrative Code (§28-320 and §28-321), requires most buildings over 25,000 square feet to comply with strict greenhouse gas emissions limits. Covered buildings must report their annual carbon emissions to the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) by May 1st of each year, beginning in 2025. Non-compliance can result in significant financial penalties.
PTS will support your building’s Local Law 97 compliance by preparing and filing your annual emissions report with the DOB and connecting you with vetted energy service providers as needed. We help ensure your submissions are accurate, timely, and aligned with the latest DOB filing requirements—reducing your risk of penalties and keeping your property on track with future regulations.
Our LL97 Services Include:
Preparation and filing of LL97 reports with the DOB by May 2025 (Pricing subject to change based on DOB’s final filing requirements)
Connecting your building with vetted energy service providers and NYC Accelerator partners to support the implementation of upgrade measures and ensure a cost-effective path to compliance.
